Owen’s first introduction to gravity biking came in 2017 on a trip to Bend, Oregon where he and his brother took their first downhill runs on lava strewn runs dug out through snow fields on Mt. Bachelor. Later that year Owen competed in his first NW Cup race at Stevens Pass. Owen, along with his brother Wyatt, are inseparable on their bikes and provide each other a constant source of built in competition pushing each other to reach beyond their comfort zone and extend their abilities.
Owen takes a methodical approach to riding and racing. He shows singular focus during race weekends riding the course over and over trying to find every advantage and fraction of a second possible. This meticulous preparation pays dividends putting him on the podium in both 2018 and 2019.
Owen loves to ride and appreciates the freedom that being on a bike provides. Whether it is the middle of winter on a snowy cross-country course or the dead heat of summer cranking out laps on a dusty downhill track, Owen will have a smile on his face knowing he is putting in the work and results will follow.
